THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a Manager of Learner Recruitment & Admissions to play a vital role in cultivating a diverse pipeline of applicants and leading both our outreach and enrollment efforts. In this position, you will champion ActivateWork’s mission to advance economic opportunity and connect traditionally underrepresented Coloradans to meaningful IT careers through community engagement, digital outreach, and partnership development.

As a key player in enhancing the student experience, you will manage and help to refine our recruitment processes and strengthen our brand as a respected and sought-after IT training program in the Denver metro area. Your work will directly contribute to empowering individuals from various backgrounds, ensuring they have access to the skills and resources needed for success in the tech industry.

Note: This role is a hybrid position requiring a minimum of 3 days a week in our Denver office.


WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Learner Recruitment & Community Evangelism:

  • Manage a rigorous outreach and recruitment process, meeting admissions and enrollment targets each cycle.
  • Build and nurture relationships with partner organizations to maintain a strong pipeline of candidates and foster long-term collaborations.
  • Attend community networking events to enhance ActivateWork’s visibility and attract prospective students interested in IT and technical careers.
  • Deliver presentations and host off-site information sessions to engage potential candidates.
  • Collaborate with leadership and marketing consultants to run effective recruitment ads on digital channels and ensure timely updates to marketing materials.
  • Align recruitment strategies and processes with grant funding streams (e.g. WIOA, SNAP, Prosperity Denver Fund, etc.)

Admissions & Enrollment:

  • Manage the candidate application process, including coordinating information sessions, scheduling and conducting phone screens and interviews, and administering technical assessments.
  • Communicate effectively with candidates, quickly building rapport and verifying the successful completion of necessary onboarding requirements.
  • Refer candidates to supportive services or alternative programs as needed.
  • Partner with Learner Success Team to lead class kickoffs and help coordinate graduations.

Data Management:

  • Accurately input and maintain data for all stakeholders (applicants, students, volunteers, community organizations) in Salesforce, ensuring consistency and timeliness.
  • Create and present reports to monitor progress and outcomes against site and organizational goals and grant deliverables.
  • Utilize Salesforce analytics to analyze data trends, identify areas for improvement, and propose strategic recommendations to optimize resource allocation and recruitment efforts.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO OUR ORGANIZATION

Professional Qualifications

  • +3 years of experience in recruitment, communications, marketing, student affairs, or similar fields. Experience in admissions in a nonprofit or college environment a plus.
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel, Slides/PowerPoint, Salesforce, and project management tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to follow through on tasks and proactively identify solutions to problems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and customer service skills.
  • Understanding of business needs and talent sourcing.
  • Solid evaluation and data management skills.
  • Experience with social media marketing is preferred.
  • Background in IT or a willingness to learn about technology is preferred.

WHAT OUR ORGANIZATION IS PROVIDING

  • Expected annual salary range of $60,000 - $75,000 based on experience.
